Nantucket Demolition Derby

Better late than never! This year was my first Demolition Derby and I have to say, it was pretty fun! I never thought I would attend a derby of any kind but the hype and chatter of this one made it too hard for us not to go.  We met our friends, Jonathan and Rebecca (yes, that’s right…Jonathan and Rebecca, just like us!) mid-island and headed out to Tom Nevers Field together to see what was going on! We arrived just in the nick of time. The derby had just begun and we found the perfect spot to set up shop. We made sure we were prepared with snacks and refreshments and had our cameras ready. There were 50 cars demoed in 7 heats. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from the day!
