Nantucket Winter Vibes

Winter is here on Nantucket. We’ve had snow, wind, rain and more wind. The sun is out today and that’s all that matters. People ask me all the time what it’s like to live on Nantucket in the winter. It’s pretty much the same as living anywhere else in New England except there’s no Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks. Who needs them when you have Handlebar Cafe and The Bean? The off season brings high winds and lots of flooding but not without gorgeous sunsets and a few warm beach days (bundled up of course). We can take our dog on a walk through the Moors without seeing one person. We can park where we want, when we want. We have more time to take pictures of our sweet baby girl, and we can plan for the busy summer season. We love living on Nantucket – not just in the summer. Easter is only five weeks away!
