Our Spring Trip to Cape Neddick Maine & The Cliff House

Summer is almost here and we knew we had one final weekend to sneak away before the rush of the season begins. We jumped online and did some searching for New England getaway ideas and when I came across the Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine I knew it was the spot. The hotel and resort sits right on the cliff in Cape Neddick with incredible views of the ocean and even the Nubble Lighthouse on the harbor side. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, decks on every room to watch the sun rise over the water and two full service restaurants right inside the hotel. Each floor has a “Maine Station” equipped with sparkling or tap water, coffee, fruit and the morning paper. The robes are gingham and fleece lined, I mean…are you sold yet? We were truly blown away by this place. The food at The Tiller restaurant located just off the lobby was delicious and just down the hall from the restaurant, their theatre is the perfect post-dinner spot to see a family friendly movie with the little ones. While we were there, they played Angels in the Outfield, one of our favorites! As we sat in the bean bag chairs waiting for the movie to start a nice lady delivered us popcorn. We finished that evening with a dip in the pool and then off to bed with the sound of the ocean lulling us to sleep. We ventured out to explore the town and just a couple of miles away we arrived in Perkins Cove which is a cute little shopping area on the water. Jon grabbed a lobster roll from the Foot Bridge Lobster Shack and we drove the opposite direction to check out the Nubble Lighthouse close up. As much as we loved the town and the sights, we were anxious to get back to the luxury of the hotel. It is definitely a place we’ll visit again.
