I wish I could bottle up every moment from Haley and Michael’s Nantucket Wedding at the Whales Watch Estate. The day was perfect, starting with a no cloud in the sky morning and ending with the most magnificent blood orange moon rising over the ocean. There were many happy tears but the side-splitting laughter won the day. It was truly a celebration and we felt so lucky to have been there to capture it all! Haley’s Sarah Seven gown was so perfectly elegant and fit her like a glove. It was simple AND stunning! She had her bridesmaids wear a mix of blues, with her sisters (twins!) wearing white with blue florals and two of her close friends in light pink. I love when bridesmaids choose their own dresses with some color direction – the end result looks effortless! Haley’s gorgeous bouquet made by Stacey of Parties and Petals was a mix of blue and white hydrangea with white roses mixed in. It complimented her dress perfectly!
After Haley and her girls got ready at her sister’s house, we headed out to Sconset for their first look. They decided on the Sconset Bridge and it was just the two of them with Jon and I photographing it from different angles. First looks never disappoint! We strolled through Sconset while the bridal party made their way out for photos. We walked the bluff walk and headed to a back road covered by trees where we stopped for another set of photos. As I mentioned before, there were no clouds in the sky so finding some shade was perfect for bridal party shots. After wrapping up those photos, we headed to the venue, the beautiful Whales Watch Estate where guests were arriving. The bride snuck in the house until it was time for her grand entrance. The ceremony overlooked the water and guests had the most gorgeous view as Haley and Michael exchanged vows. Their vows were so sweet that I had to collect myself a few times as I wiped away tears in between shots. They were pronounced husband and wife and their friends and family threw white petals as they exited.
Their reception kept with the blue and white theme, gorgeous hydrangea centerpieces, a penny to toss off the boat for the favors and a mix of blue and white cups. The white tent and blue sky backdrop couldn’t have fit in more perfectly. Guests sipped their cocktails while they watched the sun go down over the cliff. They even got a bird’s eye view of Haley and Michael’s beach portraits. Next, it was time to dance! Michael’s Dad handed out props for guests to wear and at the end of the night put on quite the show! He and his buddies snuck off to dress up in flashy suit jackets, hats and gloves and when they reappeared, they sat Haley down in the center of the dance floor. They cued the band and all at once started singing and performing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” with Michael at the mic! The crowd joined in and by the end, everyone was dancing and singing at the top of their lungs. It was truly one of the most memorable wedding moments of our career! The final shot of the night included Michael’s Dad, all of his buddies and the bride and groom front and center with the moon rising in the background. What an ending! I hope you enjoy some highlights from their amazing day! Cheers to you, Haley and Michael! Wishing you two a lifetime full of love and laughter!
