Elizabeth and Jared had waited so long to become husband and wife, so when COVID was making their big celebration impossible, they decided to go to Nantucket and get married at the Wauwinet with their immediate family. They planned the most elegant Nantucket micro wedding and it turned out just perfect. Their First Look was one of our favorites to date – you’ll see why when you look through the photos and see Jared’s reaction – simply priceless! After the First Look, we took some portraits around the beach and on on the docks before heading back up for the ceremony. It was a bit of a windy day on island so the couple opted to have their ceremony on the grass in a sheltered area surrounded by lush greens. Their ceremony was intimate and filled with happy tears, an exchange of vows and sealed with a kiss! After their exit, the couple shared embraces with their family and then it was time to head indoors for their intimate seated dinner in the side room of the famous Topper’s Restaurant. Soiree Floral did an incredible job at creating their tablescapes and making the restaurant look like the perfect extension of their natural destination with gorgeous pops of pink and orange. We were to say goodbye as they sat down for dinner, but we decided to stick around out on the back lawn of the Wauwinet in case there was a surprise sunset, and sure enough….THERE WAS! As the sky started to change colors, Elizabeth and Jared, along with their family came running outside to get a glimpse of the beautiful scene. Thankfully, we were still there and able to get a shot of the couple just as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a day we’ll never forget and we were so grateful to have been there to capture so many special moments. Cheers to the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. Pimm!
