Mariele & Joël’s Ogunquit, Maine Engagement Photos

Mariele and Joël will be getting married this year at the gorgeous Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine. We met them a little before sunset at Ogunquit Beach in Ogunquit, Maine for their engagement photos. It was our first time photographing a couple on a Maine beach and wow, we were in for a treat! It was such a beautiful night. We strolled the beach and then walked towards the dunes where we found a public walkway that led to the creeks side of the water. It made for the perfect golden hour photos. There’s something really special about the beaches in Maine – the flatness makes for pretty dreamy colors and reflections. The smaller waves made it possible for Mariele and Joël to walk far out towards the water and allowed us to capture their reflections in the sand. It was magical! I loved that they brought their pup for some photos. I always suggest bringing your pup, and even if they join for just the ending, we’ll be sure to capture a few great shots with your furry friend. It was a little too chilly to take off our shoes, but in the summer, we’ll be ready to get our feet wet. We already can’t wait to get back to Maine for our next photoshoot and explore some new beaches and special spots. Who wants to do photos at Perkins Cove? After our time together, we went out for some Maine lobsters before it was time to head back to the ferry to catch our boat. Here are a few highlights from our time together. I just loved how their outfits and color scheme complimented the natural elements so perfectly. It was as if they knew what the color of the sky was going to be. We can’t wait to see this sweet couple again and capture their wedding day – the countdown is on!
