Nantucket Engagement Photos | Calista and David

Calista and David are getting married! It was a pleasure to be able to take their Nantucket engagement photos at the beach for this sweet couple. Calista is a local jeweler on the island and I have admired her and her work for years. She owns a jewelry shop downtown – you can find more about it here. Thanks to her, Jon found my engagement ring, which I’m totally in love with.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful night. We bagan our session in the moors at Altar Rock and finished up at Miacomet Beach. Talk about a magical night as you can see from the photos. There were even little glimmering lights in the air around them as we finished up their portraits in the dunes. I know I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating, there’s no place like Miacomet on a summer night.

I loved Calista’s choice in outfits for the shoot. She arrived in a blue wrap around dress that was perfect for the location and then switched into a white dress for the beach. It would be impossible for me to be able to pick a favorite – I loved them both. If you’re looking for a way to change up your look but don’t want to do too much, you could simply put your hair up like Calista did. Even just a small change in your hairstyle can create a completely different look. I’m beyond thrilled for these two! Since this photo shoot, the couple has welcomed a new baby to their family.
