Nantucket Wedding at the Wauwinet // Molly & John

I met John and Molly at the Wauwinet on a chilly day in April for engagement photos. Molly was gushing about her wedding day and although it was more than a year away, we knew it would sneak up on us. Fast forward a bit and here we were back at the Wauwinet preparing for the most memorable day of their lives! It was an unusually warm day for May on Nantucket. The sun was bright as Molly was getting ready in her room with her Mom and best friends. The day was so relaxed and low key with only 25 of their closest friends and family joining to celebrate the happy couple. After the beautiful bride was ready, we headed downtown for a first look. John was so excited as he waited for his bride to tap on his shoulder. Molly was glowing as she turned the corner on Main Street – there were tears, smiles and lots of hugs. It was the perfect start to a wonderful day. Back at the Wauwinet, friends and family made their way to their seats as quiet music played. Molly made her grand entrance and the most intimate ceremony followed. There were more tears, smiles and hugs. Molly’s Brother, John, performed the ceremony and the couple read their own personal vows to each other. Confetti flew through the air as the newlyweds walked out hand in hand to an acoustic version of “99 Problems” – a personal highlight for me. Time for drinks, food and dancing! We said goodbye as the sun went down over the water. Amazing memories! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Herman!
