Nantucket Winter Wonderland // A Styled Shoot

The end of 2016 is just around the corner and I wanted to finish it with my very first styled shoot. With the help and creativity of some of the sweetest women on island, the shoot was a success! I saw that the temp was going to drop to a real feel of 12 degrees with wind gusts of up to 40 mph on our scheduled day to shoot and got a little worried. I asked my friend/neighbor/model Emily if she was still up for it and she was in! Betsey Brooks of Betsey Brooks Design blew me away once again with an absolutely stunning bouquet and crown. I don’t know how she does it – always something to make me stand in awe. She used all dried florals for the bouquet and it couldn’t have been a better idea given the weather. Emily’s first dress was a beaded Parker dress from Milly and Grace and it was just beyond beautiful. We paired it with a vintage fur wrap from Current Vintage – perfection! Our second dress was a TYLHO maxi from The Lovely {SWOON}. I used my coffee table for the tablescape and decorated it with shiny ornaments and a wreath from Milly and Grace and  tall candles from Marine Home Center. Our first location was the wonderful Moor’s End Farm, where Jon and I get our Christmas tree every year. Our second location was the state forest and our last location was Fisherman’s Beach (we only lasted about 15 seconds on the beach)! It was FREEZING but what a day! I sit here so thankful for this little island, for the kindness of locals, for the beauty that surrounds us. Cheers to a fun day running around in the cold! My next post will most likely be a 2016 recap so I will save my Happy New Year wishes until then!
