Liz and Mike were married on a sunny Nantucket afternoon this past June. It was a day filled with love, laughter and gorgeous shades of blue! We had taken their Nantucket Engagement photos a few months earlier on a gorgeous evening in what became one of my all-time favorite e-sessions! You can check out that post here.
Liz wanted to be sure everything represented Nantucket on her wedding day and it really turned out exactly that way – nautical and magical – just like this little island she grew up on. Their first look took place in her parents backyard and then we headed for a quick stop near town, one of my favorite ivy covered pathways and then over to the Brant Point Lighthouse. The wedding took place on the lawn of the White Elephant Hotel. The reception followed with a cocktail hour on the lawn and eventually under the tented restaurant area which was decorated beautifully and fiilled with gorgeous blooms by Soiree Floral. We were able to sneak the happy couple away for some portraits on the docks in between the ceremony and reception. One of the reasons I love the White Elephant so much is because of how central it is and how easy it is to get great shots without going too far. It was truly a wonderful day and Liz was beaming from start to finish. The happy couple danced the night away with friends and family and we were so thankful to have been able to capture their big day. Cheers to Liz & Mike! It has been such a blast getting to know you both!
