Bethany’s boys are just the cutest! I can’t even handle it! They made my job so easy with smiles, belly laughs and constant entertainment! I loved spending this spring overcast evening at Nantucket’s Brant Point Lighthouse and beach with them and I already can’t wait to see them again next time! I loved how Bethany brought them some sweaters to put on for the end of the session – it made for a new outfit and kept the boys warm in that island wind! I always suggest bringing some outfit options – you can always throw on another layer for a new look, or even a complete outfit change if you’re up for it! Brant Point Lighthouse is one of our most popular locations for Nantucket family photos, and honestly, it never gets old! I love how the lighthouse might have the American Flag on it, or a daffodil wreath, or later in the season, a big red bow for the holidays. The dunes make great backdrops for photos and the kids can pick up and skip rocks along the water which gives them a little break and makes for great candids. Another reason why it’s a favorite spot is its location – walking distance from where the boats dock and very central to most of the downtown hotels and shops. There is usually plenty of parking down at the circle – just a short walk to the lighthouse and the sunsets make for beautiful golden hour portraits any time of year! I love Brant Point for so many reasons, but as you’ll see throughout our blog posts, it is by far, one of our most visited spots for portraits. It’s one of three lighthouses on the island and makes for the perfect family portrait backdrop. Here are a few highlights from our time together with Bethany and her sweet family!
