Nantucket Engagement | MacKenzie & Hunter | Brant Point Lighthouse

MacKenzie & Hunter are getting married! I was so excited when I got a message from MacKenzie asking me to take their engagement photos on their first trip to Nantucket a few months back. They were touring New England and decided Nantucket was a must on their go-to list! They were just planning a day trip over to the island for the photos so we were crossing our fingers for great weather. We actually happened to both be traveling back to the island on the SAME BOAT the afternoon before their session. As we were getting off the boat I recognized MacKenzie from her social media – I gave her a quick call and told her I was just steps away! We met a little earlier than planned and talked about our plan for the evening. It was sprinkling and they were a little nervous about what the weather was going to do. I was pretty confident that the rain was going to move out and maybe some pretty fog would move in. Sure enough, that’s what happened! Our first stop was Sconset. We strolled along the quaint streets finding beautiful flowers and paths to stop for some shots. We headed towards the bridge and then it was time to head over to Sankaty Lighthouse. We had the place all to ourselves and there was just something so magical in the air. After some photos at the lighthouse, we headed back towards town to finish our session at Brant Point Lighthouse. By that time, a beautiful fog had moved in and it made for some dreamy photos. I had so much fun with MacKenzie and Hunter and I couldn’t be more excited for them!
